This Sweet 'n' Sour Pork recipe is delicious and easy to make so go and try it yourself!
If you do not own a pressure cooker but you would want to have one you can get it in our store!
Ingredients needed for the recipe:
around 3 tablespoons of paprika
1-1/2 pounds of boneless pork loin roast, cut it into strips (about 1-inch)
1 tablespoon of canola oil (or some other oil if you do not have it)
1 can of unsweetened pineapple chunks
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup cider vinegar
3 tablespoons of reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 tablestpoons of cornstarch
1/4 cup of cold water
thinly sliced green onions (optional)
Hot cooked rice (optional)
Put the paprika in a large dish, add the pork to it a few pieces at once and coat it, now set your pressure cooker onto medium heat
and add oil. Fry your pork in batches until nice and brown, then place all of the pork back into the pressure cooker.
Drain the canned pineapple reserving the juice. To the pressure cooker now add the juice, chopped onion, green pepper, vinegar,
worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce and salt, Lock the lid, close the pressure release valve. Now cook it for 10 minutes.
Now you can adjust the cooker to high heat, bring liquid to a boil.
Mix cornsatch and water in a small bowl unitl smooth, then stir it gradually into the pork mixture.
Add the pineapple chunks, now cook it until the sauce is thickened.
When the sauce is thickened and the pork is fully cooked your Sweet 'n' Sour pork is ready to serve!
You can serve it over some rice and sprinkle with some green onions if you like.
